Abstract

Aligning with China's 13th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and Made in China 2025, the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) officially released China's Industrial Green Development Plan for the period 2016-2020 in order to speed up the development of the green industry in the next five years, including home appliances. Driven by the ultimate objective to transform China from a "leading manufacturing country" to a "green manufacturing powerhouse," the plan has consisted of six key tasks to help the country promote and elevate the industrial green development to a much higher level. This report compiles the statistical information of Chinese home appliances (washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner and LCD TV) such as data on shipment volume, sales volume, vendor and model ranking, as well as export volume and value.
